Privacy Policy

Version 2026-10-29.31a57a30b506 · Matthew Carbert · Alberta, Canada

1. Who is responsible

Matthew Carbert operates Golf Tournaments in Alberta, Canada. Privacy, access, correction, deletion, and security inquiries can be sent to support@teammgt.ca. This policy describes the app's practices; applicable privacy law controls where it imposes additional duties.

2. Information the app handles

The app stores account names, email addresses, optional phone numbers, password hashes, sessions, tournament registrations, player and teammate details, handicaps, photos, groups, tee times, scores, leaderboards, competition results, announcements, sponsors, chat messages and images, notification preferences, device push subscriptions, and password-recovery records. It records the document versions, acceptance time, accepting name, and declared adult or guardian capacity associated with agreement acceptance. Recovery protection may temporarily process IP addresses and email identifiers. This browser may store account-specific tournament information and unsent scores locally so scoring can continue while offline; pending scores remain on that device until sent or removed.

3. Why it is used

Information supports account authentication, tournament administration, registration, scoring, leaderboards, schedules, communication, recovery, notification delivery, security, and evidence of agreement acceptance. Provide only information needed for these purposes. Avoid posting sensitive medical, financial, identification, or other unnecessary personal information in tournament records or chat.

4. Who can see it

Tournament participants, followers, organizers, and administrators can see tournament information according to their access. Player names, groups, scores, and results appear within tournament features such as leaderboards and schedules. Organizers and administrators can access registration and contact information for tournament management. Chat content is shown according to conversation access; do not assume that tournament information or uploaded images are confidential. Sponsors and links may appear on tournament screens. Anyone given a tournament join code may obtain the access associated with that code; keep codes private and replace compromised codes.

5. Hosting and service providers

Data is stored on the installation's server and its operational storage. Email and push-notification providers process the addresses, device subscription details, and message content needed to deliver communications. Notifications and email may reveal tournament information on a device lock screen or in an inbox. Location search uses an external mapping service when you search for a place. Opening external mapping or other links is subject to those services' policies. The operator does not promise that all provider processing stays within Alberta or Canada.

6. Retention, purging, and backups

Tournaments and associated content can be permanently purged at the developer's discretion, subject to applicable law. There is no guaranteed retention, backup, or restoration period. Keep independent copies of important information. Operational backups, if any, can retain information until overwritten or removed. Account, agreement, or security records may remain where needed for other tournaments, legitimate operational purposes, or legal obligations, subject to applicable retention and deletion requirements. Contact support@teammgt.ca for access, correction, or deletion requests.

7. Safeguards and breaches

The app uses authentication, password hashing, sessions, and role-based access controls. These measures cannot guarantee that unauthorized access, privacy breaches, or data loss will never occur. To the extent permitted by law, the operator limits liability for resulting losses as described in the Terms and Release. Consent to this policy does not waive applicable duties to use reasonable safeguards, respond to privacy requests, report breaches, or notify affected people where required by law.

8. Children and your choices

Accounts are registered by adults 18 or older. Adults must have parent or legal guardian authorization, or other lawful authority, for app use and the sharing of information about minors they add. Children are not treated as personally accepting these policies. You may change available notification and profile settings or contact support@teammgt.ca about access, correction, or deletion. Disabling notifications does not remove records already shared or delivered. If you cannot agree to these practices, do not create an account or submit information; contact the operator about your options.
