1. Operator and agreement
Golf Tournaments is operated by Matthew Carbert in Alberta, Canada. Contact support@teammgt.ca for support, privacy requests, or security concerns. These terms apply to the app and its golf-tournament features. The service is provided free of charge. No subscription, payment, service-level commitment, or guaranteed support is included.
2. Adults and youth accounts
By selecting Accept, you affirm that you are at least 18 years old and have authority to agree for yourself. You also affirm that you have the parent or legal guardian's authorization, or other lawful authority, to consent to app use and the sharing of information for any minors you add. Do not add a minor if you lack that authority. Adding a minor to a tournament roster does not create an account for them or treat them as personally accepting these policies. Nothing claims that a parent can waive rights that the law does not permit them to waive.
3. Accounts and tournament access
Provide accurate information, keep passwords secure, and share tournament join codes only with appropriate recipients. Accounts can participate in or follow tournaments according to their permissions. You are responsible for the accuracy and appropriateness of information you submit, including teammate details, and for obtaining any permissions needed to share information or images about other people.
4. Acceptable use
Do not harass people, post unlawful or inappropriate material, impersonate others, attempt unauthorized access, misuse invitation links, or interfere with the service. The operator may restrict access or remove content to operate and protect the service or comply with law.
5. Free service; no backup or recovery promise
The app is provided as available, without a promise of uninterrupted service, accuracy, retention, compatibility, or recovery. You and your tournament organizers must keep independent copies of important records. The operator has no contractual obligation to provide backups, restore lost records, recover deleted content, or compensate users for data loss, to the extent permitted by law. Operational backups may exist, but are not a user backup service and are not guaranteed to be available or recoverable.
6. Tournament purging and changes
Tournaments and associated tournament records and files may be permanently purged at Matthew Carbert's discretion, with or without prior notice, subject to applicable legal requirements. No minimum tournament-retention period or restoration service is promised. The app or individual features may change, become unavailable, or be discontinued. Records needed for other tournaments, security, or legal compliance may remain after a team is purged.
7. Privacy and security risks
No online system is completely secure. Unauthorized access, disclosure, interruption, corruption, or loss may occur. The Privacy Policy explains the app's data practices. The liability limitations and Release of Liability apply only to the extent legally permitted; they do not remove privacy, safeguard, reporting, or other duties that applicable law makes mandatory.
8. Limits and applicable law
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator disclaims warranties and liability for losses arising from use of, inability to use, interruption of, or deletion of data from this free service, including indirect or consequential losses. Nothing excludes liability or rights that cannot lawfully be excluded, including any non-waivable statutory rights. These terms are governed by Alberta law and Canadian federal law applicable in Alberta, subject to mandatory protections that apply to you.
9. Updated documents
Material changes are published as a new document version. You may be required to review and accept the current Terms of Use, Privacy Policy, and Release of Liability before continuing. Contact support@teammgt.ca if you do not agree or need help obtaining your records.
